  • Update HDK Box system: On the main menu on TV, please go to "Setting", then go to "System", "Update Software", and choose to "Update through the Internet". Latest version of HDK Box system software is 1.06.585

How to use HDK Box 2.0 to Record

Method A, Using Remote Control:

  1. Please update your HDK Box system software first by going to "Setting" on main menu on TV, then go to "System", "Update Software", and choose to "Update through the Internet".
  2. Play a song you want to sing and record for.
  3. Press the blue [Ctrl] button on the remote and you will the command bar popping up on the bottom of the TV screen.
  4. Choose the third icon on the command bar and press [Enter] on remote.
  5. The song will be automatically replayed and show "recording" in the middle of the screen. It means you are in recording mode.
  6. Now you can sing!
  7. Press the return on button the remote to finish the recording.
  8. It will ask you to “Save & Quit”, or “Quit without Saving” or “Start over without Saving”.
  9. If you choose to “Save & Quit”, your recording will be saved and you can find it under Main Menu → HDKaraoke → Recordings.

Method B, Using HDKaraoke APP:

  1. First, please update your APP from app store to make sure you have the latest version. Also please make sure HDK Box 2.0 is connected online and your app is successfully paired with your box (for instructions on APP pairing, please refer to this tutorial video)
  2. When you open the latest version app, you will notice a Record button shown on the command bar at the bottom.
  3. Play a song you want to sing and record for.
  4. When the song is playing, tap the recording button on the APP to initiate the recording mode. And at the same time on TV, you will see "recording" in the middle of the TV screen.
  5. Now you can sing!
  6. When you finish recording, tap the recording button again, you see “Save” “Quit” “Re-record” “Back” these options on the APP.
  7. If you choose to “Save”, your recording will be saved and you can find it under Recordings on the APP home page.

How to Upload Your Recordings

Method A, Using Remote Control:

  1. Check and make sure your HDK Box 2.0 is connected online.
  2. Go to Main Menu → HDKaraoke → Recordings
  3. Choose one recording you want to upload. Use right arrow button on the remote to change the command on screen to green ↑arrow, and then press ENTER on the remote
  4. A message “Uploading file, you will receive a link in your account email once it’s done!” will pop up on TV screen. Press "OK" and now your recording is successfully uploaded.
    • **If you see this message instead “Compressing file, please try again 5 mins later”, it means that your recording is still being compressed. Please check back and try to upload again 5 mins later.
  5. Check your email inbox.

Method B, Using HDKaraoke APP:

  1. Please check and make sure your HDK Box 2.0 is connected online and your app is successfully paired with your box (for instructions on APP pairing, please refer to this tutorial video)
  2. Go to "Recordings" from the Home Page of the APP and you see all your recordings.
  3. Choose one recording you want to upload. And tap the upload icon.
  4. A message “Uploading file, you will receive a link in your account email once it’s done!” will pop up. Now your recording is successfully uploaded.
    • **If you see this message instead “Compressing file, please try again 5 mins later”, it means that your recording is still being compressed. Please check back and try to upload again 5 mins later.
  5. Check your email inbox.

How to Share Your Recordings to Social Network like Facebook & Twitter

  1. From the email you received, you will have a link to your recording hosted on HDKaraoke recording community.
  2. At HDKaraoke recording community, you can browse, search, like, and comment on other users’ amazing recordings.
  3. To share to social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, simply click on the Facebook or Twitter icon here to share. It will ask you to login on Facebook or Twitter if you not yet logged in.
  4. If you want to share to other social sites that are not listed here. Click the plus sign to find more.
